Client Tools

The idea for the Client Tools originated as a simple collection of tools to perform basic tasks, but has since grown.  Without getting into details about the history, suffice it to say that the original vision of a Query Tool, and a couple of routine task wizards has grown, though the implementation is not yet complete, the plans are.  Well as complete as plans ever are.

In short, the long term plan is to have a collection of tools that encompass all the needs to administer and use a PostgreSQL Server on and from the Mac platform.  This includes configuration tools for the various configuration files on the server.  It also means tools for building, debugging and running SQL queries using as many of the Mac native technologies as possible.

These technologies include, Cocoa, Automator and eventually a CoreData like plugin and upsizing tools from CoreData.
